Victor Pacheco (CWW102010)

In Sept./Oct. Center without Walls continued its successful collaboration with Trinity College as we exhibited the recent works of Victor Pacheco.  Pacheco’s ‘Boricua en La Luna‘ exhibit allowed us to see the continued evolution of a native son.  The exhibit comprised of prints, video, mixed media, and some incredible sculptural pieces shown above and below.

Favianna Rodriguez (CWW042010)

Oakland based Artist Favianna Rodriguez came to Hartford in the Spring of ’08 to exhibit and talk about her prints and the role of arts, and artists, within social justice movements.  In 2008, Favianna was named one of 50 Visionaries who are changing our world by the Utne Reader.  While in Hartford, her work was exhibited at Trinity College’s Broad Street Gallery as well as Comerio Restaurant on Park Street in Hartford.  She gave a talk on the role of the arts in within social justice movements at the Charter Oak Cultural Center and conducted workshops with students from the Catholic Worker Home in Hartford as well as youth from the CT Zulu Nation.
